Control Systems

Centralized PLC & SCADA automation for grain storage, handling and processing facilities, integrating equipment control, material routing, silo monitoring, alarms and process management into a single system.

Overview

Control Systems

PSSILO Automation Systems provide centralized control of grain storage, handling and processing facilities, allowing machines and material flow systems to operate as one coordinated process.

Depending on the plant and project requirements, the control system is programmed according to the required operating sequence. Loading, unloading, conveying and transfer operations can be controlled from a centralized system in either manual or automatic mode.

CENTRALIZED PROCESS CONTROL

In an integrated grain facility, conveyors, bucket elevators, gates, silos and processing equipment must operate in the correct sequence.

PSSILO automation brings these operations together under a centralized control system, allowing operators to manage the equipment and material flow according to the required process.

Depending on the project, the system can provide:

  • Centralized equipment control
  • Manual & automatic operation
  • Programmable operating sequences
  • Loading and unloading control
  • Conveying and transfer control
  • Equipment status monitoring
  • Alarm and fault monitoring
  • Equipment interlocking

PLC CONTROL BOARD

The PLC Board forms the central control layer of the automation system.

It allows machinery throughout the facility to be controlled from a centralized system and enables operating sequences to be programmed according to the requirements of the process.

The system can operate in manual or automatic mode, while loading, unloading and material flow operations can be coordinated according to the programmed sequence.

MCC BOARD

PSSILO MCC Boards are used for the control of conveying, transfer and other electrically driven equipment throughout the facility.

Panel configuration and programming are developed according to the plant layout, connected equipment and project requirements.

Together with the PLC control system, the MCC provides the electrical control infrastructure required for coordinated operation of the facility's machinery.

AUTOMATED MATERIAL FLOW

Material movement within a grain storage complex involves multiple machines operating in sequence.

PSSILO automation coordinates the operation of conveying and transfer equipment according to the required material route, helping ensure that connected machines operate in the correct sequence during filling, transfer and discharge operations.

Interlocks can also be incorporated into the control logic to prevent incorrect operating sequences and protect connected equipment.

SILO & STORAGE SYSTEM INTEGRATION

The automation system can be integrated with the equipment used throughout the grain storage and handling process, including:

  • Grain intake systems
  • Bucket elevators
  • Chain conveyors
  • Belt conveyors
  • Screw conveyors
  • Distributors and gates
  • Cleaning equipment
  • Grain storage silos
  • Filling and discharge systems
  • Aeration systems
  • Temperature and level monitoring
  • Dust collection and aspiration systems

This allows the complete material flow — from grain intake and conveying to storage and discharge — to be managed as one coordinated system.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC PROGRAMMING

Every facility has a different layout, equipment configuration and operating sequence.

For this reason, PSSILO automation systems are programmed according to the requirements of each plant and project rather than applying the same control logic to every facility.

The control architecture, operating sequences and panel configuration are developed around the actual process flow and connected equipment.

WHY PSSILO?

PSSILO combines grain storage, conveying equipment, electrical control and automation within the same project.

Because the automation system is developed around the actual equipment and process flow of the facility, loading, unloading, conveying, transfer and storage operations can be coordinated from a centralized control system.

From PLC and MCC panels to equipment programming and system integration, the automation solution is configured according to the operational requirements of each project.
